Homelab Hero · No. 012: your result
New passwords and a killed session close the door you know about, and that earns the partial credit. But a box an intruder has already logged into may carry persistence passwords do not touch — an added key, a new account, a cron job — and you have left it online, on the forwarded port, while you watch for the one move you can see.
The lesson: Rotating credentials closes the known door. It does not clear a box someone has already been inside.
